Being generous is a great way to show someone your ability of kindness. Generous is not hard to do, all you need is yourself. To be generous takes one thing; Kindness. A simple way to be generous is to lend something to someone who needs it. The best way to be generous is to be a friend. You don't know what is going own with their life. Even if they are the weirdest kid in the whole school, they could be the nicest! All they need is for someone to be a friend, be there for them. Also, being generous is a way of showing you care. Examples :
Send get well soon balloons to someone who is sick. Give flowers to your parents. Lend a pencil or a sheet of paper to a student who ran out. Make food or desserts for neibors or friends. Give gifts to friends or family. Giving more money to the church offering than required. etc. All these examples show a great way of generosity.

Be encouraging and don't put people down.
Never judge too harshly. You never know if you'll be in that position someday and need a friend. Be a friend.

You can be sympathetic towards somebody when you understand his problems and have caring attitude towards the person. Given below is a sentence that can make you understand the word well as it is used in context: I did feel sympathetic towards Carolina when she lost her legs in a car accident.
Sometimes the word can also be used when you approve something and are willing to support the views that you have approved. It also means to be able to put yourself in another person's place and feel what they are feeling, and to be able to share a feeling
or an emotion with another person. A lot of people at HTMS are sympathetic.

I felt sympathy for the girl who was in the middle of her parents divorce.
I was sympathetic for the boy who was going through stuff with his life.

The character trait of the week is patriotic. Patriotic means actuated by love of one's country. You will see a lot of patriotic people, when we’re in the war. There are many people in the war! So show your patriotism! When you show patriotism, the people in the world know you care for them. Innocent people are fighting wars at the moment, and all you have to do is show you care! You are lucky to live in the United States, because freedom is free. People around the world don’t always get what they want. We get to go to school, be at a house, have enough money, wear whatever we want, etc. Some people cannot choose any of that stuff. I know that sometimes you think that none of this stuff could happen to you, but it can! The USA is so lucky to have all this stuff. I know politics, taxes, and votes are not always how you want them to go, but it is better than nothing! I hope you take the time to understand why patriotism is so important!

The character trait of the week is cooperative. Cooperative means working or acting together willingly for a common purpose or benefit. An easy way to by cooperative is to work together in a friendly way. To be cooperative you have to be nice, agree or disagree nicely, prepare your work, and stay active during your activities. A lot of students are cooperative when they work in a group for a project, or class assignment. It is easy to be cooperative.
One way to make a cooperative group for a project or class assignment, is to agree or disagree in a calm manner. You can make it easier to cooperate, if your group is quiet and on task. That is one of the most common and great ways to be cooperative. Even if you are not in a class, it may be on a court or football field. You have to cooperate with you team members, so you can score or win a game. A lot of students has probably had experience in sports.
There is several different ways to be cooperative in everyday life. All you have to do is follow the examples below, or make new ones that cover being cooperative. It is easier than you think! You just have to have courage, and make positive remarks. Now, it is your chance to be cooperative! (:
